Eagle Pass, TX - The offices that make up the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Eagle Pass and Maverick County will apply fines to those who organize large gatherings when health measures violations are detected.
This was communicated by Mayor Luis Sifuentes in an interview at the City Hall where he assured that all complaints made by people in relation to places where there are more than 10 people in attendance will be taken into account.
The Mayor declared that the objective is not to impose fines but to create awareness in the prevention of Coronavirus infections since by not respecting sanitary measures there is a risk of further spreading the virus.
He declared that since the Thanksgiving,' Christmas and New Years holidays are approaching family gatherings are expected to be held, and the health emergency (pandemic) is not over yet.

Eagle Pass, TX - Las oficinas que conforman el Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia (EOC) en Eagle Pass y el condado de Maverick aplicarán multas a quienes organicen grandes reuniones cuando se detecten violaciones a las medidas de salud.
Así lo comunicó el alcalde Luis Sifuentes en una entrevista en el Ayuntamiento donde aseguró que se tendrán en cuenta todas las denuncias que hagan las personas en relación a los lugares donde hay más de 10 asistentes.
El alcalde declaró que el objetivo no es imponer multas sino crear conciencia en la prevención de infecciones por Coronavirus, ya que al no respetar las medidas sanitarias se corre el riesgo de que el virus se siga propagando.
Declaró que desde el Día de Acción de Gracias, las vacaciones de Navidad y Año Nuevo se acercan, se espera que se celebren reuniones familiares, y la emergencia de salud (pandemia) aún no ha terminado.
