Eagle Pass, TX - Two anti-drug K-9s were recently obtained by the Maverick County Sheriff's Office.
The duo is enlisted in the ranks to become familiar with the deputies who will be responsible for their performance.
The new agents were purchased for $13,000 in a place near San Antonio, said Sheriff Tom Schmerber, who assured that the two are highly trained to be employed with law enforcement and effectively search for narcotics.
On Monday morning, the two new officers (K-9s) were introduced to the media and provided a small preview of how they respond to the call of the officers handling them.
