Honduran National Convicted of Murder Arrested by Carrizo Springs BP Agents

Carrizo Springs, TX – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Carrizo Springs Station apprehended a Honduran national on February 9, 2025, who had previously been convicted of second-degree murder in New York.


According to authorities, the individual was intercepted while attempting to make an unlawful entry into the United States.


Border Patrol officials emphasized that this arrest underscores the ongoing security challenges at the border and the critical role agents play in preventing criminals from reentering the country.


“The vigilance and dedication of our agents continue to safeguard our communities by intercepting individuals who pose a threat to public safety,” a Border Patrol spokesperson stated.


The suspect is expected to face removal proceedings. Federal officials reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that individuals with violent criminal records do not evade detection at the border.
