Eagle Pass, TX - A concerned Eagle Pass Independent School District parent has filed or at least attempted to file a report over an apparent mistreatment of her 'autistic/speech delayed child'.
Upon picking up her kids from EPISD's LDC early childhood school campus, the child broke out crying and "hysterically trying to explain" that her teacher had "pau pau him", interpreted by the parent that the teacher had hit him in the head and cheek.
"March 28, 2022 my biggest fear became a reality. My autistic/speech delayed child was assaulted in his cheek & head by his special education teacher in LDC, Eagle Pass, Texas," the parent wrote. "Pickup time came and as usual I drove up to pickup my kids from LDC. My children got in the vehicle but this time my autistic child bursted out crying and hysterically trying to explain something to me. Stating pointing to his cheek and head and small vocabulary “ma teacher pau pau”. Meaning his teacher hit him in the head and cheek."
The parent proceeded to taking her child into the classroom and confront the instructor who denied any assault, allegedly saying she just raised her voice at the student, however, the mother believes otherwise.
"My son pointed at her and expressed himself by putting his fist and hand in a punching gesture," the parent claims. "When he does this that means someone has hit him."
Principal was notified immediately after confronting the teacher but she acted "shocked" claiming that she had never had any issues with the teacher, according to the complainant.
Eagle Pass Independent School District superintendent Samuel Mijares was reached out after the principal failed to provide any incident report on the serious matter.
"The investigation will obviously continue and of course will probably get nowhere with the EPISD," the parent stated. "But this mother will not rest until something is done and until we have some security and assurance that our special needs & any other child is safe in the school we choose to have them."

Al recoger a sus hijos del campus de la escuela de primera infancia LDC de EPISD, el niño rompió a llorar y "trató de explicar histéricamente" que su maestra lo había "pau pau", interpretada por la madre que la maestra lo había golpeado en la cabeza y la mejilla.
"El 28 de marzo de 2022, mi mayor temor se hizo realidad. Mi hijo autista/con retraso en el habla fue agredido en la mejilla y la cabeza por su maestra de educación especial en LDC, Eagle Pass, Texas", escribió la madre. "Llegó la hora de recoger y, como de costumbre, manejé para recoger a mis hijos de LDC. Mis hijos se subieron al vehículo, pero esta vez mi hijo autista estalló en llanto e histéricamente tratando de explicarme algo. Señalando su mejilla y cabeza y pequeña vocabulario "ma teacher pau pau". Es decir, su maestra lo golpeó en la cabeza y la mejilla".
La madre procedió a llevar a su hijo al salón de clases y confrontar a la instructora, quien negó cualquier agresión y supuestamente dijo que solo le levantó la voz al estudiante, sin embargo, la madre cree lo contrario.
“Mi hijo la señaló y se expresó poniendo el puño y la mano en un gesto de puñetazo”, asegura la madre. "Cuando hace esto, significa que alguien lo ha golpeado".
La directora fue notificada inmediatamente después de confrontar a la maestra, pero ella actuó "conmocionada" y afirmó que nunca había tenido ningún problema con la maestra, según la denunciante.
El superintendente del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Eagle Pass, Samuel Mijares, fue contactado después de que la directora no proporcionara ningún informe de incidente sobre el asunto grave.
"Obviamente, la investigación continuará y, por supuesto, probablemente no llegará a ninguna parte con EPISD", afirmó la madre. “Pero esta madre no descansará hasta que se haga algo y hasta que tengamos cierta seguridad y garantía de que nuestras necesidades especiales y cualquier otro niño está a salvo en la escuela que elegimos para tenerlos”.
