EP Man in Critical Condition After Collision in Midland, TX

Midland, TX - A 48-year-old Eagle Pass man, identified as Homar Hernandez, is in critical condition following a traffic accident in Midland, Texas. The collision, which occurred at the intersection of South County Road and West Road in Midland County, resulted in the death of the other driver involved.


According to authorities, the accident happened when a 55-year-old Florida resident, driving a 2025 Chevy Silverado southbound on CR 1110, failed to yield at a stop sign. The driver continued forward, colliding with Hernandez’s 2016 Ford F-350.


Both men were transported to Midland Memorial Hospital for emergency treatment. However, medical personnel later pronounced the Florida man, identified as Davidson, deceased.


Investigators confirmed that both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Due to the severity of the head-on impact, serious injuries were unavoidable, authorities stated. The case remains under investigation.
