Eagle Pass, TX - Maverick County Judge David Saucedo informed of ongoing talks with property management to establish a temporary military camp in the county.
The county is searching for 20-30 acres for the military camp, which would hold between 300-400 members of the National Guard.
The judge said two properties that meet the requirements are being considered - Radar Base and the Caballo Dorado Rodeo Arena.
Both locations would allow simple access to roads and facilitate traveling to and from the international bridges and river areas, in the case that any contingencies arise within the migrant caravans in our neighborhood city of Piedras Negras.
